A successful first attempt in making pita bread in the bread machine. Just followed the step by step instructions in this bread cookbook I have simply entitled 'Bread'. The cookbook has hundreds of bread recipes with some very interesting international bread recipes and nice glossy pictures - the way I think all cookbooks should be. These pitas were so easy & quick to make. A good accompaniment to make is tzaziki - a cucumber dip made with yoghurt. Goes very well with the pita bread. Serve with a few slices of goat & manchego cheeses. Quite a change from the usual chips & dips, much healthier too. Fresh from the oven pita bread are just the best, quite different from those you get in the grocery.
