grilled sweet pineapples

I first had a taste of this tropical fruit dessert at a Brazilian restaurant we tried. Unfortunately, it has now closed but even back then, I had put this on my list to try at home. Pineapples are available all year round and they're also great to mix with other summer fruits. For this dessert idea, sliced juicy pineapples were made even sweeter when sprinkled with a ground cinnamon and sugar mixture. A little salt also added extra taste which went well with the cinnamon mixture. Using our handy stovetop grill pan, it was a quick and refreshing dessert idea to finish off any meal. Serve them with extra cinnamon and sugar mixture on the side.
