our first stop ~ Vancouver

We're glad to be back home with many memorable travel experiences from our recent trip. We flew to Vancouver and stayed at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Canada Place. It was an ideal hotel for cruise passengers as they have special priveleges such as luggage assistance and helpful features like an elevator which takes guests straight down to the ship terminal.

The impressive hotel is a Vancouver landmark with it's glistening five white sails facing the water. Most of the rooms have big picture windows and the views were definitely something to see. We also enjoyed watching the busy seaplanes from our hotel room as they take off and land on the water.

Vancouver is an impressive city and we're glad we had the opportunity to visit even for just a short time. It's clean, green and tourist friendly. We didn't have time to visit Granville Island and Victoria but hopefully we'll get a chance to come back.

We had a quick afternoon snack at the hotel before heading outside for a relaxing stroll. The chicken and bacon club sandwich and hamburgers we ordered were nothing fancy but as our first meal that day, it tasted great.
